Master Captain Jerry Williams

Captain Jerry Martin Williams is from Gainesville FL (Go Gators!). Jerry is not only Keys Huka and SCUBA’s pretty face, he is a U.S. Coast Guard Captain and a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Jerry served our country in the U.S. Army like many of his relative, First Calvary Division as a M1/Abrams tank crewman and has also served in the U.S. Coast Guard. After his service Jerry trained and became a Professional Firefighter/EMT for several years. His passion for Diving, which began in 1986, led him back to the turquoise water of the tropics and beyond Dive Instructing in Grand Cayman, St. Thomas, St. Johns, St. Martin, Destin FL, Crystal River FL, and now to the Florida Keys. Captain Jerry is excited to share his knowledge and diving expertise with everyone who would like to see Marathon’s pristine reef up close regardless of your snorkeling or diving experience level.

Evan Risdon, Divemaster / Boat Mechanic

Divemaster Evan Risdon
Divemaster Evan Risdon is our top huka trainer and resident boat mechanic. Evan came to Keys Huka Dive from Waterville, Kansas. He is one of our graduates from keys huka career development program.

Evan came down from the waste lands of Kanas where he lived in a sod house, and ran his families construction business. He moved here to marathon to change his life and attend the dive master training program. One of our finest memories of Evan is when he first arrived from kanas and he had never swam with dive fins before, so Capt. Jerry had to hold Evan in his arms and teach him how to swim. Today Evan is keys huka’s top huka dive leader, and our top carpenter. Evan is always willing to help out whenever he’s needed. You can always count on Evan to go above and beyond to make it happen.

Jody Westbrooks, Divemaster

Jody Westbrooks image

Jody is a native of Winchester, Tennessee who gave up mountains and streams for palm trees and ocean. A 15 year veteran police officer (A Local Legend) traded in coffee and donuts for beer and chicken wings. Jody earned his open water certification in 2002 and in 2013 chose to make diving and water sports his new profession. Jody contacted SCUBA’s pretty face, Captain Jerry Williams to earn his Dive-Master Certification. Jody won over Capt. Williams with his amazing skills and personality and secured a position with the Huka Crew.
Jody has visited the waters of California, Alaska, Grand Cayman, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Bora Bora, Mexico, and of course Florida. Making sure everyone has a fun, but safe enjoyable experience is always his goal.

Chris, Divemaster

Divemaster Chris

Went from dumpster diving to ocean diving. Chris is the quietest and most shy member of the Huka Crew. Chris looks up to Captain Jerry Williams as a mentor and idol and strives to be more like him everyday. He is clearly starved for attention and will go out of his way to make you to watch him, usually resulting in him doing something hilarious. Chris hails from Puerto Rico and Port Canaveral, Florida. Chris is also fulfilling his dream of living aboard his sailboat and living life in the Keys. Chris’s love for the water is evident from diving to sailing and fishing to lobstering.

Favorite Quote – “Jody Westbrooks is my hero and I want to be just like him.”
